Backround Information
If there’s one thing that I enjoy about life it’s the creativity. Not only do I enjoy being a creative person, but I love seeing others creativity flow through their work. That’s probably why I have always had a passion for video games and movies, for I get to experience new, imaginative situations that you can’t get out of a normal life. Creativity has followed me ever since I was a little kid, when I picked up my first Lego set or game controller. Now, I strive to show others my creativity as well as my sense of humor. One of the important things about maintaining creativity is being relaxed and having fun. You just need to keep the ideas flowing while not being put down by anybody’s criticisms. I played sports up until high school; I had thought they were ok but never a priority. Also, I just wasn’t very athletic. I played the violin up until my junior year. I thought it was very fun, and I love music, but I didn’t feel it was as important as my other classes. I took my education fairly seriously, and that was mainly because of the pushes I had received from my parents. I believe my education is important, which is why I have pushed myself into more difficult classes. I already know what career I want to strive towards, and what college can help me get there.
Future Plans and Goals
My future plans are typically what most people tend to strive towards. Have a family, stable job, nice house, and a good retirement plan. This all sounds well and good, but there are some aspects that need more explanation. For example, the career that I am desperately chasing is becoming a revered game designer, a job that requires good leadership and creativity. After my planned graduation from college, I will either; set off and find a job with an established company, or, work to build my own small company with people I have met in college. When I am at a stable time in my life, I will try to settle down with someone I care about and who shares my interests. Maybe even have a kid or two. I am also fine with living in a nice apartment for a good portion of my life, but when the time comes for a house, I don’t want anything too grandeur. The biggest difficulty in my plan is that being a game designer is far from a stable job. The work you put into the industry can label you for the rest of your career, and possibly ending it if you’re not careful. I will still work towards this goal though, for it feels like the career that would make me the happiest.
